Tom Bevis is the senior pastor of Truth Tabernacle. In addition to being the primary preacher and teacher at Truth Tabernacle, he provides pastoral counseling, oversees the administration of the church, and gives guidance to the various ministries of Truth Tabernacle.
In addition to his ministry at Truth Tabernacle, he has published articles in The Conqueror, the monthly youth magazine of the United Pentecostal Church International as well as the local monthly paper, The Ava Citizen. Pastor Bevis served as the Section Two Youth Director and on the Illinois District Youth Committee, UPCI for eleven years. Pastor Bevis and his wife pioneered a Home Missions work in the Chicago Metro area. He has been a guest speaker at many different churches throughout Illinois as well as a guest speaker for Sectional Fellowship meetings, Youth Rally’s and has taught at the Illinois District Youth Convention.
Pastor Bevis is bi-vocational and is the Director of Purchasing for a regional soft drink bottler. He specializes in Lean Manufacturing and material flow and has consulted in his area of expertise throughout the US and in the maquiladoras in northern Mexico. He is a Certified Supply Chain Professional as well as a Certified Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
Pastor Bevis is an ordained minister with the United Pentecostal Church International and is an alumnus of Apostolic Bible Institute of St Paul, Minnesota. He is also an alumnus of John A. Logan Collage as well as many numerous Continuing Education development and leadership training seminars.
He and his wife, Brenta, have two sons and daughters-in-law, Jonathan & Kara and Andrew & Shayla, two grandsons and two granddaughters, Charlie, Avery, Emery and Lily.
